08940 [DBR5-116] Hereford shunter Len Sallis changes the points for 08940 to take the line leading off to the right under the bridge, back to Hereford Yard. The line that carried straight on under the road bridge (which carries the A49 north out of Hereford), was to the Berry Wiggins works and was used for the delivery of liquid oxygen in trains of 4 wheel tanks, but was originally the main line from Barton to Barrs Court Junction. The line into Painter brothers site was the one branching off left in the middle distance. 15th April 1985.
