08824 at Worksop Class 08 Nos.08824 and 08678 at Worksop 17th June 1984.08824 was new to traffic 22nd September 1960 as D3992 at 84E Tyseley  and was moved to Crewe Electric for internal use 11th January 2006 and renumbered IEMD01 .08678 was new to traffic as D3845 at 26F Patricroft 1st August 1959 and was sold to Glaxco Ltd,Ulverston in 4th May 1989 and on to WCR,Carnfoth on 20th July 1992.She moved to Fragonset Railways at Derby in May 2001 and back to Carnforth in February 2002 where it still remains.

45040 at Cardiff Class 45/0 No. 45040 at Cardiff Canton Open Day 6th July 1985.Bulit at Derby Works as D50 and entered traffic at 17A Derby 22nd May 1962.She was withdrawn 28th July 1987 but became Departmental 97412 on 23rd October 1987 until 2nd August 1988 when it was withdrawn again.The Peak finally met its end at M.C.Metal Processing,Springburn Works,Glasgow on 4th November 1991.

89001 at Doncaster Class 89 No.89001 at Doncaster Works 150 Open Day 26th July 2003.Taken into stock at Derby Technical Centre 1st December 1986 after building at Crewe.Taken out of use in January 2001 and stored at Doncaster.It was loaned to the A.C.Loco Group and moved to Barrow Hill 17th December 2004 and appeared at several Open Days afterwards.

D11 at St Pancras Class 45 No.D11 at St Pancras awaiting to depart with D33  in the next platform, 1969.D11 was built at Crewe Works and entered stock at 17A Derby 1st October 1960 and under TOPS became 45122 23rd March 1974.The Peak was withdrawn 27th April 1987 and stored at March until moved to M.C.Metal Processing,Springburn Works,Glasgow and cut up on 8th February 1994.

D1 at Toton Class 44 No.D1 Scafell Pike at Toton in 1965.Built at Derby Works and was working on LMR trains in May 1959 before being added to stock at 17A Derby on 11th August 1959.Withdrawn on 30th October 1976 and cut up at Derby Works in February 1977.All the class 44's were allocated to Toton from 1962 and used on freights in the East Midlands.

D150 at Bristol Temple Meads Class 46 No D150 at Bristol Temple Meads in 1967 in blue livery with full yellow ends.Built at Derby Works and new to traffic on 30th December 1961 at 17A Derby.Under TOPS became 46013 in January 1974 and was withdrawn on 3rd August 1980.The peak was moved to Swindon Works on 3rd September 1980 and was cut up by 1st May 1985.

D65 at Derby Class 45 No.D65 Grenadier Guardsman at Derby Works in February 1965.New as D65 when it entered service on 13th April 1962 at 17A Derby and under TOPS became 45111 on 17th August 1973. Withdrawn on 7th May 1987  but used by RTC Derby before being sold to MC Metals at Glasgow Works and scrapped on 8th July 1992.

31106 at Doncaster Works Class 31 No.31106 Spalding Town at Doncaster Works on 26th July 2003 on the 150 Open Day.New as D5524 at 30A Stratford on 26th March 1959 and withdrawn on 7th September 1998 and stored until sold to Howard Johnston Engineering in October 1999.The 31 was then put back to work under the Fragonset banner for five years and is now based at Derby and is used on Test trains.

86253 at Manchester Piccadilly Class 86/2 No.86253 The Manchester Guardian stands in platform 5 at Manchester Piccadilly on 22nd February 1985.Built as E3136 at Doncaste rand added to stock on 25th December 1965 and under TOPS became 86044 on 1st February 1974.The AL6 entered Crewe Works on 11th November 1974 for conversion and emerged on 10th January 1975 as 86253.The 86 was off lease on 1st November 2002 and moved to Glasgow Works.Moved to Brush Traction,Loughborough on 18th May 2004 for conversion to a mobile load bank and became 86901 on 22nd December 2004 and painted into Network Rail yellow.It worked with 86902 and was based at Rugby until moved to LNWR Crewe Carriage Sidings on 13th March 2006.It moved to  Derby with 86902 and the pair have recently moved to C.F.Booth Rotherham for scrapping.

40122 at Sheffield Class 40 No.40122 (D200) at Sheffield on 5th May 1985 with The Sutherland Highlamder railtour which it worked from Springburn-Derby.The run to Chesterfield was via Barrow Hill due to engineering works.The 40 also worked the Derby -Edinburgh  leg on 3rd - 4th May 1985.Built at the Vulcan Foundry and new to 30A Stratford on 14th March 1958 and withdrawn on 16th April 1988 and presented to the National Railway Museum,York for preservation.

46026 at Bristol Class 46 No.46026 Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry at Bristol Temple Meads with a Paignton - Leeds train on 19th September 1983.The only class 46 named by BR and was recently fitted with new nameplates.Built at Derby as D163 and new to 17A Derby on 17th April 1962 having been named three days earlier.The peak was withdrawn on 19th November 1984 and moved to Doncaster Works on 6th December with cutting up starting on 3rd March 1985 and completed on the 30th.

43138 at Bristol Class 43 No.43138 at Bristol Temple Meads heads a service for the West Country on 19th September 1983 with 43137 on the rear.Released from Crewe Works in the autumn of 1979 but did not enter service until June 1980 at Old Oak Common.The power car was used on HST Trailer commisioning trials from Derby with 43137 lasting  for some time.

9712 at Ipswich Mk2F DBSO No.9712 at Ipswich on the rear of 12:40  Norwich - Liverpool Street  on 6th November 1999 with 86235 leading.Originally built at Derby Works as BSO No.9534  in 1974 and converted to DBSO at Glasgow Works in 1985. 9712 was sold to Northern Ireland Railways for use on the ex Gatwick set to convert it to push-pull operation using 111 class locomotives. It is registered as 8918 on NIR.The vehicle was delivered to Belfast on 26 June 2009, almost 14 months late on its contracted delivery date.The ex-Gatwick coaches were stopped on 19 June (before it was delivered) and have now been withdrawn.

73129 at MRC BR Standard Class 5 4-6-0 No.73129 boiler at Butterley MRC on 24th April 1983.She was outshopped from Derby Works in August 1956,one of 30 built with Caprotti valve gear (73125-73154). Originally allocated to Shrewsbury Shed  it was later transferred to Patricroft Shed (near Manchester) in 1958. It spent the rest of its working life there until it was stored at Patricroft from June to November 1967. It was officially withdrawn from traffic on 2nd December 1967.She was sent to Woodham's scrapyard at Barry in February 1968 and left there in January 1973 and moved to Derby Works until early 1975 when she moved to Butterley.

45054 at Chesterfield 45054 approaches Chesterfield with a rake of 8 Mk1 first class coaches to form the 10:02 to York.The train was 45 minutes late due to engineering works between Chesterfield and Derby.The train is on the freight line due to the red flag (centre). The train passed the rear of the station then reversed into platform 1. Sunday 25th September 1983.

Finally scrapped in November 1966.This was one of the War Department 8F's and carried the number WD70378., , To the left can be seen Class 25 D5193 which under TOPS became 25043.It was withdrawn at Derby Works 1st February 1981 and scrapping was completed on 25th September 1981.

She was  renumbered to 86406 on May 1st 1986 and finally to 86606 on 7th October 1990.The 86 was withdrawn on 27th November 2003 at Crewe and finally cut up at Ron Hull,Rotherham in June 2007.
