Class 50, 50025 in the OOC Factory
As a result of the West Ealing derailment with 50025 in August 1989,it was decided to withdraw the locomotive from service. This image shows 50025 inside the Factory .The damage is self evident and looking at the gantry I reckon the engine unit has been extracted as a spare for other members of the class. This photo was taken at OOC on 30/9/1989. 50025 was subsequently cut up by Vic Berry's at OOC and the cabs removed to Vic Berry's at Leicester for disposal.
