08606 Cambridge. 27-8-89
Withdrawn 08606 in Spillers sidings, Cambridge, waiting to continue it's journey by road to Vic Berry's, Leicester. 27-8-89. , , Withdrawn from SF on 29-2-88, 08606 had been dumped in Spillers sidings since at least 20-4-89 when I first saw it there. I can only presume that it ran into trouble whilst being towed (hot axle box?) and was dumped here for onward road transport. Note the scotches under one of the wheels. I finally saw it leaving here by road on 7-9-89 to Vic Berry's scrapyard, and had been completely scrapped at Vic Berry's yard by 15-9-89.
