Class 25 No. D5185 sits behind the 2MT, under the bridge., , 78018 was built at Darlington, entering service at West Auckland (51F) in March 1954., Subsequent allocations as follows:-, Kirkby Stephen (51H) in April 1954., 51H recoded to 12E in February 1958, 12E recoded to 12D in April 1958, Chester (6A) in April 1960, Workington (12F) in June 1962, Chester (6A) in October 1962, Willesden (1A) in May 1963, Nuneaton (5E) in October 1965, Shrewsbury (6D) in April 1966., , In February 1955, 78018 was caught in a snow drift at Bleath Gill, and was eventually freed by sister 78019., , Withdrawn in November 1966, she was sold to Woodham's, Barry for scrapping, arriving there in June 1967., She departed Barry in November 1978, initially to the Market Bosworth Light Railway (mow the Battlefield Line) in November 1978., It was re-sold to the Darlington Railway Preservation Society (DRPS) in 1981 and moved to Darlington in July 1981., She moved to the GCR in November 2012, and was restored in August 2016., , D5185 was also built at Darlington, entering service in May 1963., , Toton 25/05/1963, Allocation recoded 18A to 16A 09/1963, Leicester (Midland) 01/1964, Toton 05/1964, Cricklewood West 09/1964, LM Midland Lines 01/1965, Nottingham Division 06/1968, London Division (WCML) 07/1969, Leeds Holbeck 07/1972, Tinsley 10/1972, Allocation recoded 41A to TI 05/1973, Renumbered 25035 02/1974, Haymarket 02/1975, Store 19/06/1979, Haymarket 06/1980, Returned to Service 06/1980, Crewe Diesel 11/1980, Unofficially named CASTELL DINAS BRĀN - date unknown but post 1/81, painted name later replaced by cast nameplates., Withdrawn 15/03/1987, Stored at Basford Hall Yard until sold to Vic Berry, Leicester. Moved to Humberstone Road, Leicester on 14/7/87 and remained there until moved into Vic Berry, Leicester on, 11/9/87 and remained intact., , Sold for preservation in 1988 and moved 14/7/88 to the Northampton and Lamport Steam Railway at Pitsford. She moved to the Great Central, Railway, Loughborough about 3/03 for bodywork repairs, then to returned to N & L Rly. Repainted as 25735 in 3/95 and painted back to 25035 in 4/97. The loco was renumbered, to D5185 in 4/06.
