I'm fairly certain this is one of Pete's shots that I rescued from bin! , This was the "Cromptons to Cornwall" part of RPPRs "Deltic to Devon - Cromptons to Cornwall" railtour., In the event, the Deltics were blacked by ASLEF (some dispute or another) so Control offered a lovely great pair of 40s instead! 40081 and 083 did the honours from Paddington to Newton Abbot where these two took over for the return trip to Par., , 33017 was withdrawn 5th May 1988 and cut at Vic Berry's in Leicester during November 1990. RIP. , 33022 fared no better. Withdrawn on Christmas Eve 1989, she was sent for final despatch to MC Metals in Glasgow. Relocation to the shed in the sky came during August 1991. RIP.
