Withdrawn 40106 at Crewe along with 25124 and another unidentified class 25, 18th Feb 1984. 40106 had been withdrawn 10 months earlier (21/04/83) and spent time in store until being preserved, moving to the Great Central Railway at Loughborough on the 16/04/84.
