At the end of 1986 just 26 class 25 locomotives remained in service including these two, 25173 (D7523) withdrawn 19/03/87 and 25265 (D7615) withdrawn 18/03/87, both made it into the last week of class 25 operation and into preservation, seen here inside Crewe Diesel Depot., , 19th October 1986
