Withdrawn class 40 locomotive 40028 (D228) "Samaria" stands within sight the cutting shop, within the Crewe Locomotive Works complex., 40028 was at the head of the first railtour i went on, the Railway Enthusiasts Society "South Yorkshireman" railtour on the 1st April 1984., New to Longsight on 29/08/59 as D228 withdrawn from Longsight 10/84 cut up 02/88 at BREL Crewe, , 19th October 1986
