Built by British Railways at their Eastleigh workshops in 1955, these 3 car class 501 sets in which 57 sets were built were allocated to Croxley Green depot, for services from Broad Street around the North London line to Richmond and of course the DC lines from London Euston to Watford, the last were withdrawn from service in May 1985., Sitting amongst the rubble is DTBS 75135 from set 501135, seen at Vic Berrys scrapyard which was located in the old goods yard at Braunston Gate, Leicester, which was built by the Great Central Railway in the 1890's, , 4th February 1989,
