An ex London Transport 1938 stock driving car from the Northern Line, as the 1972 stock was introduced on the Northern Line 2 driving cars of 1938 stock were converted to ballast motor cars at Acton Works in 1972, numbered L140 & L141 and finished off in unlined lake., This is the remains of L140 at Vic Berrys scrapyard which was located in the old goods yard at Braunston Gate, Leicester, which was built by the Great Central Railway in the 1890's, , 4th February 1989,
