58040 at Toton yard
After the hump at Toton had been taken out of use, the reception sidings were used for several years for staging mgr trains from the various pits in the Nottingham coalfield. It was quite easy to photograph the trains from the bank opposite the depot. 58040 runs back onto its train past the white posts that once held the signals controlling shunting over the hump.
