D1062 'Western Courier' accelerates away from Bridgnorth with a service bound for Kidderminster on Saturday October 11th 1986., Built by BR at Crewe Works, it entered service in May 1963 & was withdrawn just 11 years later in August 1974. Following withdrawl it was purchased by the Western Locomotive Association in November 1976 & has been based at the Severn Valley Railway since September 1978.
