The as yet unnamed 37 428 passes Madeley Junction hauling 7G19, the 1439 Coton Hill Yard - Bescot on Monday 30th June 1986., The English Electric Type 3 was delivered from the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows as D6981 in May 1965. Renumbered 37 281 in May 1974 under TOPS, it was renumbered 37 428 in February 1986 following overhaul at Crewe Works & was named 'David Lloyd George' at a ceremony in Pwllheli on May 16th 1987. It was scrapped in March 2013 by CF Booths of Rotherham.
