A snapshot taken from Derby, London Road bridge circa April 1975., , All seems well in this view, just as we expected to see it. As a spotter the line up of shunters was of great importance; were there any foreign shunters in the line, either ex-works or awaiting movement to the Works?, , On this day however wagon loads of limestone, from Wirksworth perhaps have obscured many of the shunter numbers. But it is offset by the presence of Clayton 8598 and one test coach., , Possibly taken on a Sunday morning when the London Road curve would have many locomotives parked.
