Taken sometime in July 1984 at Allerton TMD, 40195 sits withdrawn in the dead end sidings (now the site of the depot wheel lathe) for the minor offence of worn tyres. It would later be hauled to Crewe works, where it would languish until December 1988, before finally being scraped.
