A clean 45118, minus it's The Royal Artilleryman nameplates crosses Relly Mill Viaduct to the South of Durham with 1E94, the 08:05 Liverpool to Newcastle service on 2nd May 1987. The locomotive would appear to have visited Derby works for a light overhaul fairly recently as it has been repainted with the orange stripe that was a new feature at this time.
